Jesus says, “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.”
We have provided a list of online bible resources that are free to use online. These bibles have various strengths and weakness depending on the depths of your studies. I recommend each resource as a starting point in your journey to understand God’s word.
Bible lexicons provide definitions and meaning of Biblical words found in the original Hebrew Scriptures also known as the Old Testament and New Testament languages of the Holy Bible. This study resource helps in understanding the origins and root meaning of the ancient language. Additional, lexicons give the context and cultural meaning intended by the authors. Using the online King James Version or New American Standard lexicon with Strong’s Concordance numbers provides a detailed understanding of the Hebrew and Greek language used in the Bible.
Dictionary provides us with the definition of words used in the English language. Some dictionaries trace the etymology of the word and the various use cases throughout history.
